Aurelie from Plum Jewelryy
Who is behind Plum Jewelryy?
I am Aurelie and I live in Marseille. I studied Business & Management at uni as I always wanted to become an entrepreneur, Plum Jewelryy was the perfect occasion to step in the entrepreneurial world ! Plum demonstrates a modern vision of femininity and is entirely designed for women who are looking for authenticity, simplicity and energy. Through its collection, Plum offers its very own vision of elegance: a fine design, premium materials, warm colours and a practical usage thanks to the magnetic clasp.
What inspired you to launch your own jewellery brand?
I was encouraged by my family and friends and quickly saw a lot of interest towards Plum Jewelry when attending craft markets. This is around mid-2017 that I decided to launch my own jewellery line and started this beautiful entrepreneurial adventure !
How is the Minimalist & Boho Bangle made?
I would first imagined the design, draw it and produce it. In this case, as you can tell I was very much inspired by the summer season; this gold bangle is handmade with pearls ornaments, a golden star and an organic cotton tassel. It demands a lot of patience & precision! I would say the essential parts I wanted to achieve with this model was its flexibility & its ability to adjust to any wrist.
What would be a day with you in your workshop?
I start my day by imagining and drawing new designs for the next collection and then later on I would prepare the orders and ship them as we offer next day delivery. I also collaborate with a Parisian concept store which is very exciting and new designs will be showcased very soon!
Living in Paris, what is your favourite dish?
Blanquette de veau, a real classic but I never get disappointed, especially during those cold winter days.
What are you plans for 2018?
2018 is pretty encouraging for Plum Jewelryy! Our goal is to increase our e-shop brand awareness and establish more partnerships with concept stores. We are also excited to be attending amazing craft markets this year in the capital and across the country and possibly soon showcasing our range in the US ... to be continued !
Any travels this year?
I will be traveling to Montreal at the end of this February. I adore this city, so multicultural & friendly, the relationships are easier and more straightforward, I absolutely can’t wait!
We are putting the spotlight on Women in February and March and especially women who fought for their rights. What would you say to women who want to launch their own business?
I can only encourage everyone of us to step into the entrepreneurship and work from their passion as there is nothing more satisfying than doing something we love and sharing it with others! Of course, there are many challenges along the way but once we met them, it makes us stronger than ever.
